thanks for the derps
Literally everything you need to know about the X files in one photoset
I’m the only one trying to get things done properly.
Honestly, this is not how I intended to spend my thanksgiving
Over the past two months there have been multiple missing persons reports in the state of Montana, all within the same region of wilderness. None of these people, primarily hikers and campers, have so far been found, alive, that is.
As of last week the remains of three humans were uncovered by a search party in the the region. The skeletons were abnormally clean, containing very little traces of other tissues, they have been identified as belonging to three teens, two female and one male, reported missing just three days prior to the discovery of their remains. Clearly the state of decay described is highly unusual for the time that has passed. The initial report from the local medical examiner is vague and concludes the deceased were victims of an animal attack in order to account for the lack of, well, the rest of the victims. The report alludes to various bite mark indentations on the bones to aid in this conclusion, there is no mention of what animal may have been responsible.
A few low resolution copies of photos of the remains are present in the case file, while evidence so far is thin and slightly unstable, and there are still many missing in the area, Mulder strongly holds to a theory that the deaths of the teen hikers and the string of missing persons are each connected.
I am flying out to Montana in order to examine the remains myself and make a more detailed report. While I find the state of the ‘bodies’ to be suspicious and less likely to be the result of a wild animal in desperate search for prey, I feel my partner expects something far more ‘extreme’ and sinister behind this. Sinister, I do not doubt, but there are far more logical and plausible possibilities before us before we go searching for old fairy tales and lore.
